1) Scope and Perimeter

Converteo (SIREN 499 582 948, 40 avenue des Terroirs de France, 75012 Paris) attaches particular importance to protecting the personal data of its visitors, in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, Regulation EU 2016/679) and the amended French Data Protection Act (Loi Informatique et Libertés).

This Policy precisely describes the cookies placed during navigation on the website www.converteo.com, their purpose, their retention period, and the rights you have. It complements our Privacy Policy, which is permanently available on the site.

You can at any time disable the cookies to which you have consented, free of charge, using the deactivation options offered and described below.

2) What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file placed on your terminal (computer, tablet, or smartphone) when you visit a website. It does not allow you to be identified personally: it only identifies your browser or terminal via an IP address, and records certain browsing information (pages viewed, duration of the visit, screen resolution, etc.).

Only the issuer of the cookie in question is likely to read or modify the information contained within it.

There are different types of cookies:

–       Session cookies that disappear as soon as you leave the Site;

–       Permanent cookies that remain on your terminal equipment until their lifespan expires or until you delete them using your browser’s features.

You are thus informed that, during your visits to this site, cookies may be installed on your terminal equipment.

III. Categories of cookies used

The cookies used on our site are classified into the following categories:

  • Strictly necessary cookies: essential for the operation of the site. They allow, for example, your browsing preferences to be remembered or your session to be maintained. They are placed on the basis of our legitimate interest in providing you with a functional site and do not require your prior consent (Article 5 of the ePrivacy Directive). You can object to them via your browser settings, but this may degrade your browsing experience.
  • Audience measurement cookies (statistics): analyze site use (pages visited, navigation path, session duration) to improve our content and user experience. They are only placed with your prior consent, collected via our cookie banner.
  • Marketing and B2B tracking cookies: Converteo is a B2B consulting firm. We use marketing cookies to measure the performance of our digital campaigns and identify visiting companies for commercial purposes. These cookies are only placed with your consent. We use cookies to display targeted advertisements on this site on behalf of third-party advertisers.

IV. Data processed and retention periods

The personal data processed via cookies are:

  • your IP address and a session identifier created during your first visit (maximum duration: 13 months);
  • if you consent to statistical cookies: browsing data (pages visited, duration, arrival source), kept for a maximum of 13 months;
  • if you consent to marketing cookies: IP address, session identifier, browsing data necessary for campaign performance measurement, kept for a maximum of 13 months (unless otherwise indicated in the table below).

Upon expiration of these periods, no data about you is retained. Anonymized data may, however, be kept for aggregated statistical purposes, in accordance with our anonymization policy.

VIII.  Consent

During your first visit to our Site, you are offered the option to accept, configure, or refuse the use of certain cookies.

If you do not want cookies to be installed or read on your terminal equipment, a refusal cookie will be placed on your equipment, so that UFCV records the information that you opposed the use of cookies. If you delete this refusal cookie, it will no longer be possible to identify you as having refused the use of cookies.

Similarly, when you accept the placement of cookies, a consent cookie is installed.

Refusal or consent cookies must remain on your terminal equipment. You can modify your choices from the “Manage my cookies” link at the bottom of each page of the site.
